ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • Firefighters responded to a fire at a downtown Mexican restaurant on March 17, rescuing five kittens from the roof and treating two firefighters (cleared by paramedics) as the blaze damaged the building and blocked Kennewick Ave. vehicles between Auburn and Benton. Investigators are checking possible causes (under investigation).  Tri-Cities Business News

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Gov. Bob Ferguson signed a law on March 16 to update protections against deep fakes by making it illegal to use someone’s digital likeness without consent — the law, sponsored by Kennewick Sen. Matt Boehnke, will take effect on June 10.  NBC Tri-Cities
