  • TAGCON, a gaming convention organized by Tri-City Area Gaming, will return to Pasco this weekend at the HAPO Center. The event will feature an extensive library of board, card and roleplaying games—along with a nerd swap table, giveaways and discounted badges for caregivers, volunteers, students and educators.  NBC Tri-Cities
  • TAGCON, the Tri-Cities gaming convention, returns this weekend at the HAPO Center in Pasco.   • Families in the Tri-Cities will join three Easter egg hunts this weekend as West Richland hosts a hunt on April 19 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with a pancake breakfast and free donuts, a wine-themed WIT Adults & Kids hunt runs later that day from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., and Summer’s Easter EGGstravaganza takes place on April 20 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. — visitors are encouraged to reserve a spot for the WIT event and enjoy fun activities like pony rides and a bounce house.  NewsTalk 870

ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • Today, firefighters responded to a condo fire near West 4th Place and South Quincy Street around 1:20 p.m.—two occupants evacuated safely while one was taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation as crews from Kennewick and neighboring fire districts worked to extinguish the flames and investigate the unknown cause while a nearby condo suffered heat and smoke damage.  NBC Tri-Cities

  • Blueberry Bridal broke ground at Vista Field as the Port of Kennewick pushes its development project forward, and owner Amber Keller said the event marked a key milestone for her business.   • Police are investigating a shooting that occurred near the 'At Home' store on April 17 at 3:30 p.m. at 867 North Columbia Center Boulevard in Kennewick — officers are not seeking any suspects at this time.  Apple Valley News Now
  • The Richland Police Department is investigating a drive-by shooting at Orchard Hills Apartments on Leslie Rd this morning—officers are asking anyone with information to submit a tip using case #25-015588.  NBC Tri-Cities

HEALTH NEWS

  • Jason Cutter, a 50-year-old hockey player, had Birmingham hip resurfacing surgery to ease his hip pain and return to sports three months later — a study shows that this surgery lets three times as many patients stay active compared to a full hip replacement.  FOX 41 Yakima
