- ➤ On April 26th, the 14th Annual Jenny’s Hope Super Pet Adoption took place at Columbia Park in Kennewick and united more than 25 local shelters, rescues, and vendors to achieve 29 adoptions. The event also offered $20 microchipping to help keep pets safe — a measure to curb pet overpopulation. KONA

- ➤ A 29-year-old was arrested April 28th for 30 graffiti incidents in Kennewick that resulted in $39,000 in damages — he was booked on a 1st degree Malicious Mischief charge. FOX 41 Yakima

- ➤ The WA Department of Fish and Wildlife has updated fishing regulations for fresh and marine waters to guide anglers on legal methods and safe practices — the new rules specify what is allowed and prohibited, including keeping fish until ashore — as the season begins. The KEY
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Groups, a national provider of opioid treatment, recently opened its first Washington clinic in Kennewick at 3180 W. Clearwater Ave., Suite M to offer medication for opioid use disorder, weekly group counseling & individual support. The company said over 60% of clients stay in care for over 180 days and 93% engage in treatment monthly & plans to open more clinics in the west. Tri-Cities Business News
- ➤ Make-A-Wish Alaska and Washington is asking locals to donate airline miles to help nearly 30 children battling critical illness have their travel wishes come true in the Tri-Cities.
