ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ Fire crews contained a car fire at the intersection of Road 44 and Pearl Street in Pasco on Sunday afternoon after multiple explosions were heard from lithium ion battery chargers inside the vehicle; officials warned that using non-approved chargers may pose increased fire risks. NBC Tri-Cities
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Kennewick and Pasco mayors have issued proclamations to set aside May 10-16 as National Police Week and to encourage citizens to attend commemorative ceremonies that honor officers who died or were disabled while serving the community + show support for local law enforcement. NBC Tri-Cities
- ➤ Kennewick Irrigation District announced water service will shut down for 10 days from Friday, May 8 to Monday, May 18 due to repairs at the Chandler Pumping Plant.
