- ➤ On May 20th, Kennewick police executed a search warrant at 1006 E 4th Ave—arresting several individuals for narcotics distribution and detaining others with outstanding warrants, including property owner Jay Ehlers, 60, who was booked for delivering and selling a controlled substance. - ➤ The Franklin County Sheriff's Office increased patrols at Juniper Dunes Wilderness Park for Memorial Day weekend to enforce safety rules (no drinking and driving and no burning of wood pallets). - ➤ Senate Majority Leader John Thune said a vote on overturning California’s 2035 fossil fuel vehicle ban is expected soon — if passed, the decision will break the link that lets Washington enforce a similar ban on new gas-powered vehicles.
