GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • The Franklin County Sheriff's Office increased patrols at Juniper Dunes Wilderness Park for Memorial Day weekend to enforce safety rules (no drinking and driving and no burning of wood pallets). • Senate Majority Leader John Thune said a vote on overturning California’s 2035 fossil fuel vehicle ban is expected soon — if passed, the decision will break the link that lets Washington enforce a similar ban on new gas-powered vehicles.
