- ➤ The Tri-Cities community will host the Great Strides Walk on Saturday to raise awareness and support for cystic fibrosis, with a 9:00 a.m. meet-up and a 10:00 a.m. walk at Fingernail (Howard Amon Park) where groups like Andrew's Army will show their support. NBC Tri-Cities
- ➤ Kennewick will open its long-awaited Columbia Park dog park on June 28 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the park's east end between the Family Fishing Pond and Lampson Pits parking lot. City officials say the park will feature fenced zones for large and small dogs and water stations+ it will give local residents a closer option after years of traveling to other facilities. CRIME NEWS
- ➤ On May 27, officers responded to a burglary at Swift Stop on Swift Boulevard in Richland where thieves shattered the door and stole a cash register, lottery tickets, and cigarettes—using a Flock camera system, they tracked a black Nissan Altima to Kennewick and arrested the driver at 6 a.m., booking him into Benton County Jail.
