  • Graduation attendees at the Toyota Center must now access parking from Okanogan Pl as the adjacent lot is closed. Additional parking is available at Vista Field via Grandridge Blvd—parking attendants will direct traffic and enforce the clear bag and no re-entry rules.  FOX 41 Yakima

CRIME NEWS

  • A Pasco woman, Ashley Avila, was arraigned on Tuesday at 11:36 a.m. and pleaded not guilty to theft of about $700K from the Pacific Outpost dispensary after an audit found misused funds from casino charges & missing cash deposits, with her bail set at $25K and her next court date scheduled for July 29.  FOX 41 Yakima
  • Kennewick Police arrested a man after a standoff at an apartment complex on Tuesday night—he surrendered after about one hour while threatening to burn the building and stab people, and officers later found that the stove burners were left on with no injuries reported.  Apple Valley News Now

ECONOMY NEWS

  • New data shows that WA lost at least 14,000 construction jobs since last April due to growing restrictions and higher costs. The Tri-Cities and nearby areas stayed flat with no new workers, making Tri-Cities the fifth largest market with 11,000 jobs while many builders say they will not start new projects—factors that have hurt investment in local construction.  KONA

  • Kadlec Tri-Cities Cancer Center has installed a Varian TrueBeam HyperSight Linear Accelerator to deliver cutting-edge cancer treatment plus help with osteoarthritis.
