- ➤ On June 11th at 4:05 p.m., the Tri-Cities Regional SWAT Team and several agencies executed a search warrant on W 4th Ave between S Morain and S Union St — authorities urged residents to avoid the area. FOX 41 Yakima
- ➤ Kennewick Police released their 2024 crime report that showed a 1% rise in total crime and nearly a 30% increase in drug offenses after changing the code to arrest for public use and possession + officers seized over 100 grams of meth and 1,200 fentanyl pills while violent crime dropped 16% with just under 400 reports. - ➤ A Benton County jury convicted Antoine Surge of second-degree murder with a firearm enhancement in Richland's Columbia Park murder case after a nine-day trial—prosecutors said the jury deliberated for one and a half days before reaching the verdict. NBC Tri-Cities

- ➤ This weekend, Richland will host its 2025 Regatta with over 60 boats racing off Howard Amon Park—visitors, estimated at over 2,500, are expected to boost area hotels, restaurants and stores with an economic impact of over $227,000. FOX 41 Yakima

- ➤ Apple Valley News Now declared a First Alert Weather Day for Wednesday through Friday, warning that dangerous fire weather and strong winds affected lower elevations in our region and parts of Oregon on Wednesday and remain a risk today and Friday. - ➤ Ben Franklin Transit is updating bus routes in the Tri-Cities to cut travel time and boost service. The changes, which have been planned for years (reducing the Richland to east Kennewick trip from nearly one hour to under 30 minutes) and will add direct service to the Tri-Cities airport and CBC (responding to rider demand), will begin on June 15.
