- ➤ Firefighters battled a wind-driven wildfire in Horse Heaven Hills using helicopters and ground crews to control 391 acres and contain a merging brush fire off Meals Road—no residents were injured despite damage to three outbuildings and nearby shops. Apple Valley News Now
