- ➤ On Monday night, police responded to a parking lot crash at 454 Keene Road when a car struck a minibike rider, injuring their leg, and they arrested a teen who said he used the car without permission and without a license before fleeing; he now faces charges (driving without a license, using a vehicle without permission, hit-and-run). - ➤ An off-duty state trooper faces charges after a March 1 crash in Richland that killed 20-year-old motorcyclist Jhoser Sanchez when her Kia Telluride struck him at 7:30 p.m.—Trooper Sarah Clasen, 36, had a blood alcohol level of 0.17% and spent nearly four hours at a local bar with her husband before the collision. - ➤ A Richland DUI driver was charged with vehicular assault after a Friday night crash at George Washington Way and Comstock Street injured multiple people and sent both drivers to the hospital—investigators noted the suspect was intoxicated and the investigation continues. KONA

- ➤ A study published June 16 in the journal Cancer showed that one dose of psilocybin lowered depression and anxiety in nearly half of 28 cancer patients—some for up to two years without extra treatment.
