  • Pasco Police are investigating a Sunday shooting that left a young man dead near 6th and Agate and arrested two juveniles who now face charges for murder in the first degree and robbery in the first degree as detectives continue to seek more leads.  The KEY
  • A 44-year-old Pasco man was arrested yesterday in connection to burglaries from September that involved tampering with power meters on Columbia Center Blvd.-officers said the suspect also entered businesses on Edison St. and W. EDUCATION NEWS

  • The One Big Beautiful Bill will change student loan repayment for nearly 800,000 Washington borrowers by allowing payments over 10—25 years and phasing out three current plans by July 1, with automatic transition to a standard or income-based option if no choice is made; the law also provides an interest waiver when payments cover accrued interest and forgiveness if a balance remains after 30 years.  The KEY

  • Federal cuts by the Department of Government Efficiency have left the National Weather Service office in Pendleton short staffed with eight meteorologists instead of 13, and officials say the office may soon close to consolidate services.
