ACCIDENTS NEWS

CRIME NEWS

  • Kennewick Police arrested 33-year-old Tanner Morton on Wednesday after he allegedly violated a protection order, assaulted a victim, and fled from a residence on the east end before he was found on Clearwater Avenue and booked with felony charges for Order Violation DV and Burglary First Degree in Benton County Jail.  NewsTalk 870

  • Pollinator corridors offer a practical solution as local programs help residents turn yards, balconies and green spaces into connected habitats for bees and butterflies—over 22% of native pollinators face serious threats to survival. GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • On July 22, the Kennewick City Council reviewed proposals to change waste management services to lower residential rates. Waste Management representatives proposed reducing free dump coupons from six to two+ which could save residents about 41 cents per month, replacing 18-gallon bins with a 96-gallon recycling cart, and ending the fall leaf program+ while debating continued waste services for key venues.  FOX 41 Yakima
  • Scientists from Pacific Northwest National Laboratory and other labs are showcasing their creative work in the DOE Office of Science Basic Energy Science 2025 Art of Science Image Contest, where the public may view and vote for up to three favorites until Aug. 5. The winning artwork from IDREAM (The Stars Align: Revealing the Earliest Radiation-Driven Reactions in Complex Ion Networks) will be honored when winners are announced on Aug. 6.  Tri-Cities Business News
