- ➤ Police arrested a man early on Sunday for burglary, trespassing, and obstructing a public servant after he ran and hid in a dumpster in Kennewick — he dropped a backpack full of copper piping as he fled downtown and was booked into jail without issue. NBC Tri-Cities

- ➤ Pasco School District is celebrating the opening of two new high schools made possible by the 2023 bond. - ➤ Researchers at PNNL are puncturing, cutting and crushing spent nuclear fuel rods to find ways to get more energy from them. Their experiments, funded by DOE’s Accident Tolerant Fuel program, will help design new fuels and boost power plant performance by 2030 — a move that adds capacity without new building.
