- ➤ On September 19th, 2025, a U.S. District Judge in California issued a temporary restraining order against the USDA to block the collection of personal information from SNAP participants — the order covers 21 states including Washington and a hearing is set for next month to decide if the ban will continue. HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ A study published on Sept. 19 found that 27 types of bacteria and fungi in the mouth increased pancreatic cancer risk by nearly 3.5 times. Researchers analyzed saliva from over 122,000 people and noted that some microbes linked to gum disease may help identify those at higher risk. FOX 41 Yakima
