Michelle Wine Estates named Anna Mosier & David Bowman as co-CEOs for its Washington operations and promoted Amy Prosenjak to run its Oregon business after Shawn Conway left to lead Far Niente. - ➤ State Energy Facility Siting Evaluation Council has proposed that Horse Heaven Wind Farm LLC build primary components of a 1,150-megawatt wind farm in Horse Heaven Hills but must avoid building too close to five endangered hawk nests. EFSEC is accepting public comments through Oct 13 and will decide on the proposal on Oct 15 — local opponents and the developer have raised concerns about energy capacity and the review process. - ➤ Customers of the Kennewick Irrigation District learned today that water deliveries are turned off after a board meeting reviewed an emergency order by the Bureau of Reclamation requiring junior water districts to stop deliveries amid a three-year drought that lowered reservoir storage and river flows. Senior water rights holders will keep their deliveries on the regular season-ending dates+more details are expected from KID. KONA
- ➤ Crews closed the right-hand turn lane from northbound George Washington Way into Columbia Point Drive near WinCo in Richland on October 5—part of an ongoing improvement project. A detour directs drivers via Comstock Street and Bradley Boulevard—work continues on a new sidewalk and retaining wall with completion expected by late November. FOX 41 Yakima
- ➤ The City of Richland said it will upgrade the Leslie Groves Tennis Courts with a new concrete court, updated netting, a rebound wall and new perimeter fencing—closing the courts and a nearby part of the Riverfront Trail during construction.
