GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Richland officials said contractors will complete paving work between Trowbridge Boulevard and Ava Way during the week of October 27 as part of a project to convert intersections into roundabouts. Ava Way will close between Dallas Road and Gateway Avenue for two to three weeks during splitter island construction—drivers should expect minor delays until work pauses for cold weather and resumes in early spring. - ➤ The city of Richland announced that work at George Washington Way will begin Monday as crews install underground conduits for a new traffic signal system and reduce lanes and close streets around Aaron Dr and Columbia Point Dr—electronic boards will notify drivers of restrictions and alternate routes. Southbound lanes will reopen by early Tuesday and northbound lanes by 4 p.m.—drivers should plan ahead for brief delays. FOX 41 Yakima
