  • Fourth grade students planted native seeds at Leslie Groves Park on November 9 as part of the Leslie Groves North Native Plant and Habitat Restoration Project organized by Debbie Berkowitz for 20 years—teaching Wiley Elementary students the planting process. GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Richland is planning a safety campaign to address increasing trail misuse as more riders operate speeding e-bikes, fail to signal, and use motorized mini-bikes on non-motorized trails. The Parks and Recreation Commission will meet on November 13 to discuss proposals that include volunteer Trail Etiquette Ambassadors and a signage audit to improve safe trail practices.  FOX 41 Yakima
  • The Pasco City Council backs West Richland’s proposed ban on aerial fireworks to reduce safety incidents and property damage—Mayor David Milne’s support letter will be sent and discussed during the workshop meeting today.
