  • Today, a Giving Machine is available at the Fairchild Queensgate Theater in Richland as part of a network of 126 machines that let community members choose gifts such as work shoes—driver’s tests, self-care journals and meals for those in need during the holiday season.   • Columbia Park will have road closures for the 2025 Run for the Red Turkey Trot on November 27; Paul Parish Drive and the north lane of Columbia Park Trail will be closed from 6:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Access to the East Boat Launch will be restricted from 6:00 a.m. to noon, Foodies Columbia Park will be closed for the day, and the Golf Tri-Plex stays open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. via Edison Street—officials thank locals for their patience.  FOX 41 Yakima
  • The Lower Valley Christmas Trucks will light up Tri-City Raceway on December 8 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.—families will enjoy festive displays and holiday music while donating non-perishable food items to help local families in need.  KONA

  • Complete Suite Furniture will close its Richland store at 1911 Fowler Street by early 2026 as the company sells its 29,500 square foot facility for $4.5 million—clearance sales are underway and remaining merchandise will move to its other locations.  KONA

CRIME NEWS

  • Pacific Power warned customers today in Washington and Oregon about a billing scam that claims service will be interrupted within 30 to 60 minutes and urges payment by purchasing prepaid cards—officials emphasized the company never demands payment via text—customers should verify account numbers against their bills before taking action.  KONA

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Homeland Security agents visited a Head Start Preschool on Thursday looking for details on an individual not connected with the school—agents left after the school district directed them to consult its legal counsel.
