- ➤ Heavy rains forced several road closures statewide today, including SR-203 and SR-162, with flood warnings for the Tri-Cities (the Yakima River near Kiona and West Richland under a Level-3 alert). KONA

- ➤ Lawmakers and locals met at a Franklin County town hall to discuss safety on Highway 395 north of Pasco after nine fatal crashes in five years — they pledged temporary speed limit changes until a long-term fix is found. KEPR TV
- ➤ The Klickitat County Sheriff’s Office released a chart showing stopping distances for vehicles at 35 MPH on dry, wet, snowy, and icy roads in Eastern WA. Drivers are advised to maintain at least 60 to 100 feet on dry roads and up to 600 feet on icy surfaces. The KEY
