- ➤ The Port of Benton approved its 2026 budget which includes a surplus, an 8th straight property tax cut, and funding for capital projects such as airport improvements and rail upgrades — contractor bids will follow to complete work into 2027. Apple Valley News Now
- ➤ Benton County Emergency Management advised residents near the Yakima River to prepare for flooding after Saturday's crest; officials recommended securing outdoor items and moving valuables to higher ground, while a shelter remained open at Central Church in Richland. NBC Tri-Cities
