- ➤ Gas prices near Kennewick rose as emergency repairs on the Olympic pipeline pushed the average to $4.24 a gallon—with a 14-cent increase in one week—and the region now sees the largest year-over-year fuel cost rise, with Washington prices up 21 cents since last February. KONA

- ➤ A power outage turned lights out at Yelm Avenue on SR-395 this morning (Feb. 27) into a four-way stop that led to over a mile of backed-up traffic. Troopers advised drivers to use SR-240 as an alternate route, and the signals have been restored. KONA
