- ➤ After months of changes, Generational Care has parted with executive director Brandy Hickey as the nonprofit board aligns with its long-term vision. - ➤ The Public Market at Columbia River Warehouse closed end of March without explanation, leaving small businesses scrambling for new locations. Some vendors, like Antojos 509, plan to open elsewhere soon as the owners pivot to using the facility as an event space and commercial kitchen. Tri-Cities Business News
- ➤ A West Richland winery filed for bankruptcy in March and plans to liquidate its inventory over the coming months at its 8111 Keene Road site. The business, which sold most of its wine to an Italian producer, estimates its assets + debts exceed $10 million. Tri-Cities Business News

- ➤ Brandi Dayton Art moved into Suite 110 at Columbia Gardens, offering oil painting, watercolor, and mixed media classes in a space formerly used by Gordon Estate Winery. - ➤ The Questers of Tri-Cities, a lifelong learning club active in Richland for nearly 60 years, meets monthly Tuesday afternoons for assigned presentations on topics from dance to eye care. - ➤ WSU Tri-Cities leader Sandra Haynes now will oversee Vancouver and Everett campuses as part of a statewide effort to unify operations and strengthen academic planning (she brings proven leadership from her work in Richland). Tri-Cities Business News
- ➤ Franklin County mailed ballots to registered voters for renewing the Pasco School District’s Educational Programs and Operations levy after a narrow loss in a recent special election. Voters will cast ballots on April 28. NBC Tri-Cities

- ➤ Kennewick Irrigation District launched its 2026 interactive water map to help residents track irrigation schedules. The tool shows areas in blue for normal service and red during outages and lets users search by address to view repair details. KONA
- ➤ Ben Franklin Transit announced plans to expand the 22nd Avenue Transit Center in Pasco using community input from a July 2025 survey — upgrades include a park-and-ride area and ADA-accessible platform, with final designs this year and construction bids set to open in Spring 2027. NBC Tri-Cities
- ➤ The Bureau of Reclamation projects water supplies for Yakima Basin growers at 52% of normal. Kennewick Irrigation District officials have set voluntary water restrictions and may impose mandatory cuts if summer heat increases demand following a state drought emergency. KEPR TV

- ➤ Water Follies announced it will offer its first tent camping option during race weekend with limited campsites on the Kennewick side of the Columbia River near the boardwalk, pits, shoreline and bathrooms.
