- ➤ Debbie Bailey organized the 15th annual Jenny's Hope Super Pet Adoption event held last Saturday at Columbia Park in Kennewick from 10 am to 3 pm, where pet adoptions, food trucks and a silent auction led to 38 adoptions with several pending. The KEY
- ➤ Kennewick officials are completing park improvements by planning a new splash pad at Columbia Park — they are also considering restroom upgrades and infield turf at Lawrence Scott Park to boost community recreation. - ➤ A community-wide diaper drive is underway to help families afford diapers for young children. United Way of Benton + Franklin Counties launched the drive on April 20 and will accept donations until May 1 at designated sites in Kennewick, Pasco, Richland, and West Richland. KEPR TV

- ➤ Dave and Buster's has applied to change a large space at Columbia Center Mall (costing $6.85 million) as the city takes public comments until May 5. - ➤ A longtime Kennewick flower farm will close at the end of May after 36 years due to a lost lease and redevelopment into a gas station, with liquidation sales offering discounts on remaining plants and greenhouse materials. KEPR TV
- ➤ The SBA is offering low-interest disaster loans to Benton County businesses impacted by the ongoing drought with loans up to $2 million and deferred repayments for one year.
