- ➤ After collecting additional soil samples at Vista Field following PFAS concerns, the Port of Kennewick reported on September 23rd that all but one sample were below state cleanup levels. - ➤ Health First Urgent Care will pay over $2.8 million for splitting test panels to claim extra Medicare and Medicaid funds—US Attorney Pete Serrano said audits uncovered the fraudulent billing method. KONA
- ➤ A new study published in PNAS Nexus finds that air pollution may harm children's eyesight—children exposed to lower levels of NO2 and PM2.5 showed better natural vision, and researchers recommend measures such as installing air purifiers in classrooms to protect developing eyes.
